Creating Synesthesia
Luma Box Designs was created out of making and operating video content for hip hop artists and house DJ's. I saw the value in a synthesized show and began designing the lighting and lasers as well. Coming from a video background my lighting is always centered around what the camera sees. When I ventured into lasers I followed that same approach which has resulted in amazing laser effects on camera. I also utilize the same mapping theory with lasers as I do video and love to explore the relationship between laser and video mapping.
Sometimes I design and manage the entire event. Sometimes I design and/or operate one art form for an artist or company. I always I work with amazing teams to add my own energy and insight.
My career has led me through nightclubs, corporate events, festivals, arena tours, music videos and creating my own film projects. While on the road I collect poetry books, vinyl and spices,. At home I get to enjoy the art over making veggie food and researching the next project.
